Attendis is formed by nearly six hundred high qualified teachers coordinated by a pedagogic department. Here we can find more than twenty experts in essential subjects for a future education such as Foreign Languages and New Technologies.
Half of the teachers in infant education are bilingual. The 30 % of the primary teachers give English Language and other subjects in this language, and a significant percentage of the teachers that teach English in the schools are native.
Close to their professional qualification, this team is distinguished by their human qualities, their vocation to education and their ability to work in groups. Attendis falls upon both factors, process of selection and formation, because we understand that they are essential to a high individual attention to the students, main challenge of the educative project in these schools.
That is why, Attendis teachers dedicate a very important part of their time — nearly 100 hours a year — to their personal improvement, recycling themselves and learning new pedagogic methods. So each year, there are masters, working days, seminars, sessions organised by our own institution or other entities: among these we have to point up “The Master in Family Advice” given by Villanueva Centre in the Complutense University in Madrid.
In coherence with the Attendis Pedagogic Project, nearly 150 teachers participate in different activities to specialised themselves in other subjects such as New Technologies, Foreign Languages or Enviromental Studies, along the year course.
The work of the Attendis teachers team is based on the positive pedagogy guided to transmit the students not only a solid intellectual formation but a series of values such as order, effort, generosity or freedom. We get up to this because there is a friendly and loyal relationship between the student and the teacher and this is very important for their education. The main aim in this relationship is the individual attention, activity in which Attendis teachers dedicate around 1.100 hours a week, through interviews and personal tutorials.
The teachers’ technical qualifications, their work , their permanent communication and cooperation with parents and students, have been an important element to obtain the acknowledgement of excellence in education given to some Attendis centres by an European Foundation for Quality Management.
